Canada – it’s time to get ready for XBRL

On March 1, 2017, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced support for the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) XBRL taxonomy – setting the stage for requiring foreign private issuers that prepare their financial statements in accordance with IFRS to submit documents in interactive data format.
